New Delhi: A day after 100 schoolchildren were caught drinking and smoking at a local Gurgaon pub on Sunday, police have given the pub/bar owners across the city 15 days ultimatum to install CCTV cameras with web-based remote surveillance.

Earlier on June 3, Gurgaon joint commissioner of police, Maheshwar Dayal had directed all pubs to install CCTV cameras for security reason but many are yet to follow the order.

Dayal has said that strict action will be taken if after 15 days, pubs and bars are found failing to install the cameras as per the police directives.  The establishments will have to share their IP addresses with the police and excise authority to allow them to monitor the watering holes.
