New Delhi: In a bid to further strengthen the security after a severe car blast on Monday, the Home Ministry on Tuesday directed the Delhi Police to install CCTV cameras at every intersection in the Capital.

Ministry has also asked all the embassies in the Capital to park their vehicles in their own premises.

A senior official in Home Ministry said, “CCTV cameras will be installed on every crossing in the capital for surveillance. Delhi Police has been directed to prepare a report for this project.”

“If CCTV cameras had been installed on the crossing near embassy area where the blast took place, we could have identified the motorcyclist” he added.
