New Delhi: The Delhi government’s secretariat canteen that had stopped serving tea, biscuits, mineral water and wafers to the ministers will again start the food supply after Chief Minister Sheila Dixit intervened into the matter.

According to sources, taking view of the recent report published by Dainik Jagran on Saturday, the state government initiated the further investigations into the matter.

“Following the reports, the CM ordered immediate clearance of the bill due with the canteen. Around Rs 4 lakh of the total outstanding bill were cleared on Tuesday and rest of the amount is likely to be paid within a week,” sources said.

The canteen operator has stopped supplying food to the minister in the wake of an outstanding bill of over Rs 31 lakh.
