A group of demonstrators were seen protesting outside Delhi Secretariat on Wednesday, shouting slogans against Arvind Kejriwal government for not fulfilling the promises it made in the election manifesto. And even though the Chief Minister himself assured them speedy action, the protesters continued to demonstrate against the government.

Scores of BJP workers, led by party leader Arti Mehra, first staged a protest outside the Delhi Police headquarters and then reached the Delhi Secretariat, shouting slogans against the government. Arti Mehra met the Chief Minister and demanded resignation of Law Minister Somnath Bharti for tampering with evidence in a corruption case.

A group of farmers and contractual teachers also reached outside Delhi Secretariat and joined the protest. The farmers demanded that approval be given for expansion of ‘Lal Dora’ in the national capital.

The guest teachers working in government schools demanded regularization of their jobs. Taking note of the protests, Arvind Kejriwal assured the protesters that the government would fulfill all its promises. The Chief Minister sought time to sort out problems.
