New Delhi: The admission process for the Delhi Technological University admissions for session 2012-13 has begun.

Online counseling facility has been launched for the students for admission into 15 B.Tech courses. The students who have secured a rank in the AIEEE entrance exam 2012 can apply online for admission.

One seat in each course is reserved for single girl child in Delhi University.

The applicants are required to get at least 60 percent marks in the Class-XII.

DTU Spokesperson Ruchika Malhotra said, “The admissions to 1531 seats will be conducted on the basis of the rank obtained in AIEEE while 48 seats have been reserved for NRI, Foreign National and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) applicants.

The aspirants are required to download the bank chalan from the DTU website for payment of the fee. The applicants will be able to deposit their fee through the bank chalan from June 13 to June 18 while the registration fee for the admission is Rs 1000.

After the submission of the fee, the applicants can register online from June 20 to June 25 by creating their unique login id.

For admission under the physically challenged category, the medical board will be available at the Sanjay Gandhi memorial hospital at Mangolpuri S Block where the candidates can register after a clinical check-up.

If a student is not assigned a seat even in the third list, he/she can visit the campus on June 20-21. If the seats are left after fifth counseling, such students will be given admissions in sixth and seventh list.

Malhotra said, 85 percent seats of the Delhi University are already reserved for Delhi aspirants.  Only 15 percent seats are reserved for students of other states. In addition, students can also get admissions under SC, ST, OBC and Physically Handicapped and displaced Kashmiri category.
