The NDMC which is working on the project with cellular service provider Vodafone India and Tata Docomo will soon launch the same service in Connaught Place.

Jalaj Shrivastava, chairperson NDMC said, “We have pulled up telecom providers for the delay, but the service in Connaught Place will also commence soon. They had told us that the difficulty they faced was due to thick walls in the area.”

The Wi-Fi zone however does not provide unlimited access to its users. After the first 20 minutes of free access the user will have to purchase top up recharges either by retail stores or online. The top up will cost Rs 20 for 40 minutes.

The other recharge plans include Rs 30 and Rs 90 top up for 60 and 100 minutes respectively.

To benefit from the service users are required to register their mobile numbers and email IDs. They will be provided with a onetime password to access Internet.

The telecom company Tata Docomo is providing similar service in other sites in the city like Delhi Domestic and T3 International Airport, Feroz Shah Kotla Cricket Stadium and others.
