Lucknow: Yet to come up with any major breakthrough in the mysterious death case of Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Y S Sachan, the CBI has decided to tighten the noose around the official responsible for stealing the dairy and reported suicide note of the deceased.

The diary and suicide note is being considered as crucial evidences to speed up the investigation.

Accused in the murder of two CMOs in Lucknow, Dr Sachan was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Lucknow jail on June 22. On the same day, Inspector General Prisons VK Gupta told reporters that Sachan has committed suicide and has left behind a suicide note and a diary.

Later the suicide theory was ruled out and it was believed it to be a case of murder. Facing the pressure from all corners, the government even ordered a judicial probe in the matter.

According to sources, the CCTV footage of the prison has also been manipulated. Meanwhile, the CBI was even not able to trace the diary and the note.

In course of CBI investigation, 57 people have been questioned during the past three months but the diary and suicide note still remain missing.
