Itanagar: The State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) in Arunachal Pradesh has approved in principle for development of ten indentified slums in the here.
Chief Minister Nabam Tuki while chairing the first SLSMC meeting on Friday accorded the approval, official sources informed on Saturday.
The Chief Minister also urged all to discourage encroachment of government premises as most of the slums had come up on government land.
Citing the Uttarakhand tragedy, he cautioned the concerned departments not to allow builders come up with infrastructures at vulnerable places.
