Nashik(Agencies): Noted poet as well as writer from Madhya Pradesh Chandrakant Devtale will be honoured with the prestigious Kusumagraja National Award here for his outstanding contribution to Hindi literature.
The award which was constituted by city-based Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) will be presented to him soon at function here on Tuesday.
 The award carries a cash purse of one lakh rupees.

 Devtale's 14 poem-collections including the popular Akash ki jat bata Bhayiya athhar Phek Raha Hu', 'Jaha Thoda sa Suryoday Hoga''Ujad Main Sangrahalaya' have been translated into various languages.
The eminent literateur, a native of temple town of Ujjain is the recipient of many awards including Madhya Pradesh government's Shikhar Sanmaan Puraskar in 1986-87,Sujan Bharati Puraskar from orissa and others.
