Dhanbad: A monk from Thailand was killed and three others including a monk were injured when their vehicle met with an accident near Madaidih village, about 45 km from here on Thursday, police sources said.

The vehicle carrying two monks from Thailand was going to Gaya from Kolkata when it hit a roadside bridge railing near Madaidih at around 7.20 am, the sources said.

They were first rushed to Topchachi primary health centre and from there they were referred to Patliputra Medical College Hospital(PMCH), Dhanbad.

While one of the one monk Nimit Jitranon, a resident of Bangkok was declared brought dead to PMCH by doctors at PMCH.

Another injured monk Teeti Srijan and two other persons Dharmendra Kumar and Hiralal Paswan have been admitted to PMCH. Their condition was serious as they have received multiple injuries, PMCH sources said.
