The show which provides its viewers an extraordinary glimpse into the lives of their favourite celebrities had David Dhawan along with his son Varun Dhawan this Sunday.

Anupam had a heart to heart conversation with them and Dhawan father and son revealed stories of faith, hope, struggle, victory, success and their love for films.

Anupam asked Varun when he discovered his acting bug, to which the ‘Main Tera Hero’ actor replied that it was in one of the family wedding function long back when a song from one of his father’s film was played, he started dancing instinctively without giving it a care who was watching.

Varun also said that among all the movies of his father his personal favourite are Swarg (starring Rajesh Khanna and Govinda) and Deewana Mastana (Govinda-Anil Kapoor-Juhi Chawla).

The fun filled conversation took an emotional bent when Anupam mentioned the incident when during the shoot of ‘Main Tera Hero’ Varun saved David’s life.

Talking about the incident David said “I had already met with an accident and had also fallen ill. Instead of taking my medicine after food, I had the medicine on an empty stomach. I told Varun: ‘I’m going!’”

Varun said that it was when everyone believed that his father had passed away he inserted his fingers in his father’s mouth to make him vomit. And to everyone’s surprise he recovered.

When asked by Anupam if the incident changed their life Varun said that he had never been vocal about saying that he loves his father but after that incident he can say he loves him in front of the whole world.

David Dhawan was asked his ‘kuch bhi ho sakta hai’ moment to which the director with a smirk replied “Varun actor bana toh kuch bhi ho sakta hai! I did not know he was interested in acting. He went to Nottingham to study business administration and came back. All of a sudden, one day, Karan Johar came to the house and said: ‘You want to act in my film?’ Then pictures were clicked and he became an actor!”

While Varun said about his ‘kuch bhi ho sakta hai’ moment that “I remember I had gone for the audition of a soft drink ad when I was really young. I was accompanying my friend and Prahlad Kakkar was shooting the ad. I was sitting with my friend and smiling and watching. My friend’s sister, who was taking the auditions, came and told me to come up and audition if I only knew to laugh and smile! Next thing I knew I was selected for the ad!”
