Chandigarh: The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has decided to unbundle its Key Consumer Group (KCG) operation division, Gurgaon with immediate effect for better management, particularly for maintenance of distribution system and attending breakdowns.

However, a cell is being created under the direct control of the Superintending Engineer (Operations), Gurgaon, to attend the complaints and grievances of all these high revenue paying consumers, a spokesman of DHBVN said here on Monday.

The operation division was created in 2009 for giving service to high tension (HT) consumers i.e. having 50 kilowatt load or more at one place, the spokesperson added.

But now the consumers demand for the old system of managing operational activities on the plea that the feeders particularly having consumers of both HT and LT categories are not being taken care properly for maintenance purposes being responsibility of staff of two different operation divisions.

The DHBVN management also observed this managerial problem and decided to unbundle the KCG Division Gurgaon with immediate effect.

The spokesman said that record of all the consumers will be transferred to the operation sub-divisions controlling the areas in which their connections are located within next one week.

All about 2000 HT consumers will now be served by the operation sub-divisions of their respective areas.
