Dhumal playing dual politics: Congress

Dharamsala: Union Minister Anand Sharma on Monday slammed Dhumal-led BJP government for playing dual politics and pointed out two major achievements of Himachal Pradesh government, ‘increased financial burden and unemployment’.

He said that BJP government is accusing the Center of neglecting the interest of the state, however the Central Government has raised the annual plan of the state from Rs 1800 crore to Rs 3700 crore.

Anand Sharma told reporters on Monday in Dharamsala “The Center does not play the partisan politics. All states have been provided adequate funds for the development. He also invited Dhumal for the open debate on any platform on the issue of alleged discrimination.”

He said the BJP government should name the development work carried out in five years. Dhumal’s politics is based on spreading misinformation among the public. Sharma also accused BJP of changing the names of the Centre-sponsored schemes.

He alleged that the BJP is doing dual politics on the issue of corruption. A BJP minister has been removed, which was accused of corruption and now the same person is fielded in the upcoming polls.

Raising a question on HPCA hotel “The Pavilion”, he said that many states in the country have cricket stadiums, but nowhere the government has given the prime land on lease to build a hotel”, said Anand Sharma. He also added that if the Congress comes to power, it will order judicial inquiry into this matter.
