New Delhi: Air passengers will have to cough up more as Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has hiked parking fee by 60 percent.

The DIAL has increased parking charges at Terminal 3 (T3) to Rs 80 and Rs 160 for one hour and two hours respectively. Earlier the parking rates were Rs 50 and Rs 100. The standard premium parking charge for 24 hours has also been increased from Rs 600 to Rs 1050.

The DIAL officials said that parking charges were hiked in uniformity. However, no parking charge has been increased for two-wheelers, added the officials.

Two-wheeler riders have to pay Rs 20 for two hours for parking at T3, while additional fee is charged for exceeding the time limit.  Meanwhile, the parking charge for 24 hours has been fixed at Rs 240 for two-wheelers.

The T3 has a capacity to park 4,300 vehicles. The parking area has ground plus six floors, where the terrace can also be used for parking.
