However, there is good news for people who keep calling the BSES call centre to lodge complaint about frequent power cuts. They have to just dial one from the mobile phones to register their complaints.

Going by the problems being faced by people in registering complaints about the electricity cut, BSES has made the procedure simpler.

The phone lines used for registering complaints have been separated from other lines of the call centre. Now, the complaint will get registered quickly and easily. The whole system is based on Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).

To avail this facility, the consumers will have to register their mobile numbers at the call centre or at the BSES website. If they call from their registered numbers, their names, addresses or meter details won’t be required.

After dialing the call centre, a voice will be heard, following which the consumers will have to press one to register their complaints about power cuts.

To register their complaints regarding power cuts, BSES Rajdhani consumers and BSES Yamuna consumers can dial 39999707 and 39999808 respectively.

They can also register their details and mobile numbers by calling the above mentioned numbers. Apart from this, one can also e-mail their details to the discoms.

However, the discoms cite power theft as the main reason behind shortage of electricity supply.

Meanwhile, people residing in unauthorized colonies accuse the discoms of being biased towards supplying power in these areas.
