London: Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has praised officials in Bangladesh for setting up a special force to save endangered tigers.
Authorities there have created the Wildlife Crime Control unit in a bid to protect Royal Bengal Tigers from poachers.
"A bit of good news in an otherwise dire situation. Save Tigers Now," DiCaprio wrote on Twitter.
The 'Titanic star', who launched the ‘Save Tigers Now’ organisation to protect the big cats, is throwing his support behind the new wildlife protection initiative.
DiCaprio is on a mission to raise USD 20 million for the Save Tigers Now organisation, which aims to double the tiger population by 2022.
