Gwalior: Owing to the differences between the two Congress stalwarts Jyotiraditya Scindia and Digvijay Singh in Madhya Pradesh, the party is still indecisive about the names for the post of party president in districts of Gwalior, Bhind and Morena.

Since no consent has been formed over the names, the supporters of both groups have been asked to forward the names of their representatives to the state panel.

Though the name of the Congress president for the remaining districts of MP have been announced, the party was forced to prolong the procedure in these three districts due to the ongoing internal strife in party cadres.

The announcement of party president in other districts of the state had led to dissent amongst the two factions.

Owing to the bickering between the two groups, the senior party members had to intervene in the issue. For the post of party president at Gwalior the names of Darshan Singh, Ramesh Agarwal and Vasudev Sharma have been forwarded to the panel. While Singh and Agarwal are being backed by Scindia, Sharma enjoys the support of Singh.

Since Scindia supporters have always held the post of party president in Gwalior, and it is unlikely that a party worker backed by Singh is named for the post.

Similarly, the two Congress stalwarts have locked horns for the post of party president at Morena and Bhind districts.
