Jammu: State BJP has demanded constitution of a high level team of Defense specialists to look into tunnel digging incident in the area bordering Indian territory.

Terming the incident as a security breach, the party said that army should go for an overhaul in its traditional combat operation.

In this regard, Dr Nirmal Singh BJP National Executive Member & former party President, while speaking to journalists, on Tuesday said, it is a serious issue but the Centre as well as the state government authorities did not have enough time to visit the state to take a stock of the situation.

Singh said, it is astonishing to see that the Chief Minister takes time to express his reaction on twitter but has no time to discuss the issues concerned with the security of the state as well as that of the country.

Dr Singh, who had recently taken a tour of the area along with the Suchetgarh MLA Sham Lal Chaudhary, demanded to form a high level committee to probe into the case. Singh also said that the committee will look into the loopholes on the entire border area of the country including Jammu & Kashmir and also assist security forces in this exercise

On this occasion, Singh asked for preparing a special policy for the development of bordering areas. He gave Rs 50,000 as compensation to each farmer and also demanded proper reward for a person who gives clues as to who dug up the canal.
