Bhopal: After the Sunday’s major reshuffle in Manmohan Singh’s Cabinet, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress secretary general Digvijay Singh has expressed disappointment for not giving due representation to his state in the Union Cabinet.

Reacting to Sunday’s reshuffle, Digvijay Singh said, “It is the prerogative of the Prime Minister to make changes in his cabinet and he would have allowed Sunday’s reshuffle after proper contemplation. Though, I am disappointed as Madhya Pradesh did not get due representation.”

He further said, “Even after this, we will go on with our preparation for Madhya Pradesh assembly polls which is due next year. Party will work wholeheartedly for the implementation of the programmes of UPA II.”

On Sunday’s cabinet reshuffle, 22 ministers took oath of their offices which includes 7 new cabinet ministers and 15 new Ministers of State.
