New Delhi: Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh landed into another controversy by saying that violence erupted at the India Gate during protests against Delhi gang rape after Baba Ramdev and Arvind Kejriwal reached the spot. He alleged that both of them are responsible for raging the violence.

Lashing out at media, Digvijay Singh said, “A police constable died during the protests. Who killed him? Will the media decide it?”
Ramdev, Kejriwal must answer that why they gave a political angle to protests at the India Gate, he further stated.

Subhash Tomar, a Delhi police constable died on Tuesday. Delhi police commissioner Neeraj Kumar said in his statement that Tomar died due to several injuries on neck, abdomen and chest he sustained after being attacked by anti-rape protestors at India gate.

On the other hand, two eyewitnesses Yogendra and Pauline refuted police charges and said that Subhash Tomar didn’t sustain any injuries during the protests.

The post mortem report of Subhash Tomar contradicted the versions of two eyewitnesses and the Medical Superintendent of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, stating that he had suffered serious injuries.
