Bhopal: Jaivardhan Singh, son of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, is all set to jump into the political arena through a public awareness march in Raghogarh Assembly constituency from Wednesday.

As per the Congress press release, Jaivardhan will start foot march from December 21 to promote harmony and awareness amongst the masses. During his march, he would cover 50 villages of the constituency. The campaign will be flagged off by Digvijay Singh from the Kolua village in Aaron block.

Jaivardhan will visit the remote and tribal dominated areas of Raghogarh constituency. The march also aims at spreading awareness on UPA's flagship programmes amongst the villagers. Simultaneously, Jaivardhan will target the plans and policies of Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government in the state.

According to political observers, the march is being taken out to promote Singh’s son in the MP’s political arena.

Raghogarh assembly constituency has been the traditional fiefdom of Digvijay Singh. For the last three decades, either Digvijay or his family member has been contesting the seat.

Jaivardhan’s political entry would give strength to the belief that he may be fielded as party candidate from Raghogarh in the next assembly elections.
