"He is fine now and he will be shifted from the ICU (intensive care unit) to the general ward soon. Most probably he will be discharged in the next three to four days," Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu's manager Murshid Khan, said.

The 90-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening after he complained of uneasiness. Doctors later diagnosed a heart attack.

A string of Bollywood celebrities payed a visit to the veteran actor at Lilavati Hospital, including actress Shabana Azmi, Farida Jalal, Asha Parekh and Raza Murad.

The thespian, known for movies like "Jwar Bhata" "Mela", "Naya Daur", "Tarana", "Ganga Jamuna", "Leader", "Mughal-E-Azam", "Shakti", "Karma" and "Saudagar", has entertained movie buffs for almost six decades. He decided to retire post the 1998 film "Qila".
