"I think because of my glamorous image, the serious directors do not take me seriously. I really hope they take me seriously and some challenging roles come to me," Mallika said in an interview.

"It doesn't have to be a full-fledged main role, even a supporting role (would do). But it should have some acting scope in it," she added.

Meanwhile, she will be seen on the big screen in ‘Dirty Politics’, a film based on murdered Rajasthan nurse Bhanwari Devi.

Mallika’s Bollywood films like ‘Murder’ and ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’, she has also, featured in Hollywood films like ‘The Myth’ and ‘Hisss’.

Currently, she is all set to debut on TV with ‘The Bachelorette India - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika’ to find her soulmate. The show goes on air October 7 on Life OK.
