Film: Dishkiyaoon

Director: Sanamjit Singh Talwar

Cast: Sunny Deol, Harman Baweja, Ayesha Khanna, Prashant Narayanan, Aditya Pancholi

Story Line: Born in the upper middle class society, Vicky is the only child of his parents. After his mother’s death, he feels very lonely as his father has no time for him. Absence of love and care pushes Vicky to the murky world of mafia where he finds peace of his mind. As the story progress, Vicky meets Lakwa (Sunny Deol), whose right hand is crippled but its trigger-pulling finger is overactive.

Lakwa transforms a normal young man, Vicky, into a gangster called Vicky Kartoos. Now, Vicky sets his eyes on the top‐spot in mafia world. Vicky would have engrossed in the world of crime unless he finds love in a girl played by Ayesha Khanna. Love changes Vicky and now he wants to come out from this world of crime. Vicky wants to live a normal life with his girlfriend.

Movie review: The biggest USP of this film is Sunny Deol, who plays a Hariyanvi character. But till the end it remains unclear whether he is playing a villain or he is a victim of time. Aditya Pancholi looks stereotype in the role a police officer. Harman, who is making a comeback in Bollywood with this movie, has tried his best to look convincing. But he lacks confidence while enacting some serious scenes.
Like always, Shilpa Shetty looks gorgeous in her item number. With her moves and sex appeal, she manages to do a good job. Set in the backdrop of underworld, ‘Dishkiyaoon’ can be a good watch for action movie lovers.
