New Delhi: As the elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) inches closer, the dissatisfaction among the workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is at peak regarding distribution of tickets.

According to MLAs, the party high command is not paying heed to their opinions while fielding candidates and instead giving tickets to the outsiders. "If the condition persists, the party will not be in a position to open their account in the assembly elections," said one of the disgruntled MLAs who preferred anonymity.

Party workers are of the view that it is for the first time the state unit is not taking views of the sitting MLAs. Expressing displeasure on this, one of the MLAs said, "Tickets are being distributed to those who are giving money especially builders. Babarpur MLA Naresh Gaud said he will apprise BJP president Nitin Gadkari of the issue.

Though the BJP's state unit has not yet declared the list of its candidates to be fielded in the MCD polls, the MLAs of Karawalnagar, Babarpur and Ghonda have geared up to make move in accordance with the party's decision.
