New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is mulling to devise a smart application to provide all the information regarding the metro on the passengers’ mobile phones. The DMRC has invited IT firms to develop the application.

With the help of new application, the passenger can download all the information pertaining to metro operations free of cost. The new devise will also inform the passengers about the metro fares, location of trains and parking facilities available in the station premises.

The smart application will also contain the information regarding the assistance, advice and complaints. The new application will also provide answers for the questions to be asked by the passengers.

A top DMRC official said that the passengers need to keep multi-media phones with them to get information through new application which will automatically get updated after an interval of few hours. The service provider will be asked to provide the information regarding the feeder and DTC buses, added the DMRC official.

Meanwhile, the railway administration is going to construct a foot overbridge to link the New Delhi Metro Station with Airport Line Metro for smooth movement of passengers.
