Raipur: After successfully providing its services to the Delhi-NCR, now Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is mulling to prepare another metro rail project to connect Raipur to Durg.

According to reports, the officials are expected to prepare the project feasibility in the first week of October. The metro operation in Raipur will be decided after preparing the viability of the project report.

The local authority has given all the charges to the DMRC. While preparing the feasibility reports, officials will notice that how people will get the benefit from the metro services. It is expected that around 5 lakh people everyday can use the metro to commute from the nearby cities.

The preliminary project report will aim at the movement of the crowd in the cities. Earlier it was decided to lay down the metro plan to Raipur, but the ongoing Rail project connecting Raipur, Bhilai and Durg halted the metro project. That is why now the metro project is proposed to be laid in Raipur.

In the preliminary information given by the officials in the Metro rail ground survey, it was stated that the metro rail can be run under the inner city and outer areas of the underground system.
