New Delhi:The infamous Bhatta-Parsaul case is back in news again with the summoning of the DM and SSP of Gautam Budh Nagar by the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) for allegedly by-passing the directives of the Commission. Both the senior officials have been asked to appear before the Commission on September 6.

The Chairman of the Commission, PL Punia, has objected to the stand taken by these two officials in two cases concerned with Bhatta- Parsaul.

According to Punia, DM of Gautam Budh Nagar had told the Commission on June 13 that 23 accused in the case have already been apprehended out of which 15 will soon be set free as they were found innocent.

On the other, while appearing before the Commission, CO, Gautam Budh Nagar made it clear that a chargesheet has been filed against all the 23 accused in the case.

The Commission had earlier directed the district administration to look into the teasing and rape charges which was not taken seriously by the officials. However, SDM and CO of the district clarified that a probe has been ordered but no FIR has been lodged in this case so far.

The Chairman of Commission has directed both the officials to appear before it with the concerned report.
