The woman had died of heart attack within a few minutes of being admitted to the hospital.

According to sources, the family of the deceased said that following this, the hospital had presented them a bill of Rs 6 lakhs.

According to sources,  the complainant Madan Nandan Sahay had filed a case in the district court that his wife, Sushma Sahay, was admitted to LBS hospital on February 2, 2014 where she died from cardiac arrest.

The owner of the hospital and the doctors attending to her kept Madan in the dark about the fact that Sushma had passed away and kept her on ventilator, claiming that she was alive, for about a week.

However, after a week, Madan called a private doctor to the hospital and after examining Sushma, the doctor told Madan that she had died a week ago and was being kept on the ventilator for no reason.
