New Delhi: Adding another feather in its cap, the Delhi Metro on Tuesday won the National Award in the 'Best Promotional Film Non-Feature films' category for a film dedicated to the difficulties faced during the second phase of construction of the 125 km metro line in the national capital.

'The Dream Fulfilled-Memories of the Engineering Challenges' received the prestigious National Award by President Pratibha Patil here on Tuesday.

'The Dream Fulfilled Memories of the Engineering Challenges' is a 30 minute documentary which highlights the technical difficulties and challenges faced by the engineers during the construction of Delhi Metro Phase two under which 125 kilometres of Metro lines were constructed in only four and a half years.

The film significantly showcases the difficulties faced by the DMRC team during the construction of a 100 metre long bridge at Okhla over railway tracks and the signature bridge over the Ring Road at Moolchand.
