Bhopal: Lokayukta police on Friday raided the residence of General Manager of Apex Bank, Amar Singh Yadav in Rivera Township here and unearthed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Lokayukta SP Siddharth Chaudhary said, “Following the information of Yadav’s disproportionate assets, the police filed the case against him and raided his residence in Rivera Township which is the most expensive colony in Bhopal.”

“The estimated cost of property unearthed so far is Rs 3.77 crore, which includes a luxury car,” Chaudhary informed.

Police has found three lockers, documents of 19.5 acre of land in Sehore apart from two more houses in his name.

Yadav owns two houses, apart from the house located in Rivera township, out of which one is in Harshwardhan Nagar and the other is in Saket Nagar. Besides, Yadav also own two shops in GTB complex.

One of the lockers was opened on Friday and Rs 60,000 cash, 670 gram gold and two kg silver were recovered. The two remaining lockers would be opened on Saturday.

The case has been filed against Yadav under section 13(1) e and Section13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act.
