Islamabad:  Websites spreading religious hatred should be blocked, a Pakistani court directed, adding that access to Google and other search engines should not be denied.

The Lahore High Court told the Information Technology Ministry to block access to all websites that were spreading religious hatred in the country.

The court added that access to Google and any other search engine should not be denied.

The ministry would have to submit a compliance report by October 6.
