New Delhi: Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh has reportedly given his blood sample to Haryana Police.

The Haryana Police will hand over the sample to Punjab Police for further investigation in the drug haul case. The Punjab Police is also expected to grill the boxer for second consecutive day on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday the Olympian boxer refused to give his blood sample to the Punjab police which quizzed him for nearly four hours.

Vijender was quizzed as per the procedure in the presence of two private witnesses. He was examined by a DSP and inspector of Punjab Police from 5.00 PM to 8.30 PM in connection with the FIR filed in the drug haul case.

Vijender's name cropped up during the investigation when police recovered an SUV, registered  in the name of his wife, Archana,  near the drug pedller's residence.

Olympic bronze-medallist's roommate Ram Singh also admitted that he consumed drugs with the star boxer. Ram, a former National Championship medallist in the super heavyweight category said that he and Vijender experimented with drugs on a few occasions.
