New Delhi: The Delhi University has organized a common entrance test for admission in English (Hons) course in 21 colleges. Result of entrance test is expected on June 25 which will be released on the website of Delhi University. The merit list will take 30 percent weightage from the marks obtained in class 12 and rest 70 percent will be taken from the results of common entrance test.

Students participating in the test said that the first set of question paper was easy as compared to the second paper which was very lengthy. First paper had multiple choice based questions whereas the second paper was subjective. 

The Deputy Dean of Delhi University Dr Gurpreet Singh Tuteja has said that students failing to figure in the merit list should not get disappointed. They can apply for English (Hons) course through common pre-admission form. There are number of colleges which take admission on the basis of cut-off list as well.
