The elections are scheduled on September 13.The colleges and the departments concerned have also been directed to install closed-circuit television camera to video graph the entry and exit points during the elections."The varsity has also put a cap of Rs.5,000 on the permitted expenditure per candidate. Further, a candidate can only use handmade posters at certain designated places on the campus, to be notified by the university authority in advance," added Vohra.

It can be done only on approval of the screening and scrutiny committee, to be constituted by the election commissioner."Each candidate contesting for DUSU office-bearer post will be provided a slot of 10 minutes on the university community radio," he said.

The university has also enforced and warned students of disqualification and criminal punishment for not adhering to the Code of Conduct, Lyngdoh Committee guidelines and the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2007.
