New Delhi: The Delhi University has granted relief to the applicants worried over non-payment of fee while filling the pre-admission form.

The admission forms are being accepted even without the payment of fee worth Rs 100 which will be recognized by the Delhi University.

However, the people who have applied online for the registration along with the fee, the amount will not be returned back to them. The students applying online for academic year 2012-13 are required to deposit fee of Rs 100.

It is to be noted, no fee will be charged for filling the pre-admission form from next year.

After receiving written assurance from the DU Proctor Prof Usha Rao, DUSU president Ajay Chikara and NSUI national president Rohit Chaudhary withdrew their indefinite hunger strike and ended the fast.

Chikara was taken to DU health centre for treatment after he ended the fast on late Monday night.

NSUI spokesperson Amrish Ranjan Pandey said, such movements will be launched time and again for the rights of the students.
