Silverstone (UK): Armaan Ebrahim earned his first points in the 2011 season by finishing seventh in the second round of Formula 2 championship.

Ebrahim had missed a top-10 place in the first round on Saturday as he ended 11th after starting 16th on the grid.

But yesterday, he did well to finish eighth after qualifying eighth. He was promoted to seventh after one of the front finishers was black-flagged.

"I started the second race well and made one place, but the car in front of me spun at the Beckett''s corner, forcing me to run wide. It cost me three track positions, but I managed to get back into eighth," Ebrahim said.

Talking about the first round on Saturday, he said,"In the first qualifying session on Saturday, we were three-tenths slower on new tyres than on old and I did my best to finish among points, but couldn''t. "

"We just could not find the right balance in the car the whole weekend and finally made some progress in Qualifying 2 on Sunday, but that was too late for a Podium attack. Considering all this, it was nice to come away with some points."

The next two rounds will be held at Magny-Cours in France on the May 13-15 weekend.
