Rome: Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi who is facing a sex trial is not letting the legal woes affect him joking to two young blondes on Saturday that he'd like to invite them to his famed "bunga bunga" parties.

The 74-year-old Premier was handing out prizes to a dozen promising young college graduates in the courtyard of his Rome office when he congratulated the two young women for their accomplishments.

"Congratulations, you are so great. I'm thinking of inviting you to 'bunga bunga," Berlusconi quipped, while Youth Minister Georgia Meloni who was seemingly exasperated, looked away.

Participants at his dinner parties have explained "bunga bunga" as an inside joke. However, prosecutors have referred it as an erotic dancing and stripteases that followed dinner.

Berlusconi went on trial this week on charges of having sex with a 17-year-old girl at some of the parties and then tried to use his influence to cover it up. He and the girl both denied that they had sex. He didn't stop at this. He went on to tell a third recipient, a male, that he was cute enough to come along as well.

The billionaire media mogul-turned politician, Berlusconi, is an unapologetic jokester who frequently explains that his off-color gaffes are harmless jokes.

Berlusconi, who was in a particularly cheery mood told another two prize recipients with bald spots that he'd pass along the number of the doctor who performed a hair transplant on him.
