New Delhi: In a bid to tighten the knot around Baba Ramdev, Enforcement Directorate (ED) is all set to delve into the truth behind yoga guru’s multi-billion empire.

In order to investigate the sources of funds, the ED has asked for details regarding his 45 companies from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). It has also sent a notice to Punjab National Bank (PNB), with which Ramdev’s companies transect, to divulge the details regarding his accounts.

According to sources, the ED last week issued notice to PNB headquarters in order to seek details of the deposits and withdrawals of Baba’s companies. The ED has also asked for particulars of the companies getting funding from abroad.

A senior official of MCA confirmed the report by saying that information regarding the 45 companies are being secured through registrar of companies and will be submitted to the ED soon.

Actually, the probing agency wants to know about the companies’ promoters and initial capital. They have also asked the MCA for particulars regarding the current directors of these companies.

The ED also suspects that Baba has invested a huge amount of black money in these companies.
Officials also mentioned that the agency will try to seek details of the actual investment and real sources of these companies and then take action against them.
