Raipur: A person was reportedly stabbed to death by his younger brother in Khauna village under Silyari tehsil police station on late Saturday night over managing household expenditure.

However, the police have arrested the accused and the knife has also been recovered from him.

While talking about the incident, the police said that the victim Ishwar Singh Thakur used to manage household expenditure by putting egg stall in the village.

They further said that after the death of his father, his widowed mother was living with the younger brother named Sandip Singh Thakur who was unemployed after he left his job at a garment shop at Silyari five –six months ago.

When Ishwar returned home at 10 o’clock on Saturday night, he found his younger brother Sandip drunk. When he advised Sandip to leave his bad habit he got into a brawl with him and in a fit of rage he took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed him to death.

However, one of the relatives of Ishwar named Kiran Singh Thakur living in a nearby area informed the Silwari police station about the incident after which the accused was arrested.
