Ahmedabad: For the review of the election preparedness in Gujarat, Election Commission officials will arrive in the state on October 28.
Signaling the final countdown of assembly elections in the state, which is going to polls in December, EC will conduct a series of meetings with state officials and representatives of political parties, a State Election Commission official said.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) V S Sampath along with Election Commissioners H S Brahma and Nasim Zaidi, Deputy Commissioners Vinod Zutshi and P K Dash will be arriving here in the evening of October 28, official said.
Next day, EC will have review meetings at Gandhinagar.
Assembly elections in Gujarat are scheduled to be held in two phases on December 13 and 17 and counting of votes will be held on December 20.
