Patna,Feb 03(Agencies): Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly,Abdul Bari Siddiqui on Thursday accused relatives of Deputy Chief Minister SK Modi of not vacating the premises of Hindi poet Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar' and asked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to intervene immediately.

Talking to reporters,Siddiqui alleged that the tenants, who were close relatives of the Deputy chief Minister were not vacating the house of the poet though Dinkar's relatives and grandson Arvind Kumar had given legal notice to them in this connection in April last year.

Arvind Kumar with his 80-year-old mother had met the chief minister on January 31,"but unfortunately, no action has been taken so far," the RJD leader said.

Siddiqui alleged that Modi too did not pay any attention to the complaint handed over to him by Arvind Kumar and others against his relatives during their meeting with Modi recently.
"Modi should not have disappointed them," he said.

Stating that Dinkar was "a pride for not only Bihar but also for the entire nation",he said " We should also remember the pivotal role of Dinkar during the freedom struggle.
"It is a very serious matter and the CM should intervene to ensure justice to Dinkar's family," he said adding he had also written a letter to Kumar in this regard.
