Indore: Following the recovery of more than Rs 50 crore from the house of Raman Dhuldhoi who works as a clerk at the Regional Transport Office, the officials of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Madhya Pradesh police on Monday reached the RTO office for further investigation.

The officials had information that Dhuldhoi had kept all the documents of the illegal money in his office and therefore the officials searched his office cabin for more than three hours. During the raid the EOW team collected some important documents.

In 2002-03, Dhuldhoi had been named in the false receipt scam in which he had caused a loss worth crores to the state exchequer. However, with the help of RTO officials the entire episode was hushed up.

DSP, EOW, Pratap Singh Ranawat said, “We are taking a fresh dig at the false receipt scam.”

The EOW team claimed to have recovered unaccounted wealth in a raid at three residences of a RTO clerk on Sunday.

During the raid, police came to know that he owns a sprawling farmhouse, four tracts of land, four expensive cars and recovered gold ornaments weighing over one kilogram and silver jewels totaling 4.5 kg from his possession.
