She has moved beyond her identity as India's ODI and T20 captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's wife and is a well known social worker and runs a foundation called Sakshi Rawat Foundation to help orphan children. She has completed her school education from Welham Girls in Dehradun followed by graduation from Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad. Sakshi was also made the brand ambassador of UK-based NGO, Mission Rabies.
