Bhopal: A special court on Friday handed down two-year imprisonment to former NCP MLA Hamid Qazi for availing allowances from the Wakf Board without attending its meeting.

The Special Additional Session Judge (Lokayukta), R K Chouhan also imposed a fine of Rs 2500 on Qazi, the ex-MLA who had represented Burhanpur assembly seat.
