The legislator began his protest at Jantar Mantar - in the heart of the national capital - after meeting with Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung.

Binny also talked about the alleged misbehaviour of Law Minister Somnath Bharti with Ugandan women during the midnight raid that took place in Khirki Extension in South Delhi recently.

“The Law Minister assaulted and misbehaved with African women during the midnight raid. The LG has assured me that law is equal for everyone and let law take its course," he told reporters after meeting the LG.

The AAP's disciplinary committee on Sunday expelled Binny for publicly making what it termed false statements against the party and its leadership.

Binny, who defeated AK Walia, the health minister in the previous Sheila Dikshit government, from the Laxmi Nagar assembly constituency in east Delhi, had attacked the government for allegedly backtracking on the promises made in the election manifesto.

Binny said, "(Chief Minister Arvind) Kejriwal's priority is not to save the government and work for the welfare of the people, his priority is to run away from the promises he made to the people during the elections. But I won’t let him run away from his responsibilities."

Refuting the charges, Kejriwal said Monday that unlike other governments, AAP had cleared a number of development works in the one month it had been in power.

"We are not here to do politics or to save our government", Kejriwal added.
