Jamshedpur: Security personnel on Saturday recovered explosives including one pipe bomb from the Naxal-affected Ghatsila sub-division of East Singhbhum district, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, the district police force jointly with CRPF searched the naxal affected area and recovered one can-bomb and one pipe bomb between Ramatandi and Namolepo villages under Ghurabanda police station, said Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Ghatsila), Naresh Kumar.

Kumar said the explosives weighing seven kgs each were planted on a kucha road to target security personnel.

A bomb disposal squad has defused the bombs, he said adding that the security personnel also seized 200 meters of wire from the spot.
