The recovery of explosives came days after the Intelligence Bureau (IB) had warned of possible terror attacks at Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, Ram Janmabhoomi and Krishna Janmasthal.
Instructions to tighten the security arrangements have also been given in this regard. After the alert issued by IB, the Uttar Pradesh government has proposed the Union Home Ministry to form an advanced control room.
Plans have also been made to install surveillance cell, CCTV camera and digital TVs separately at these designated sites.
Following the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Principal Secretary (Home) Deepak Singhal and DGP AL Banerjee on Friday met Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi to make him aware about the plans.
Earlier this week, the Union Home Minister took stock of the security arrangements at Kashi, Ayodhya and Mathura.
During the review meeting, Rajnath was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary (Home) Deepak Singhal, Director General of Police AL Banerjee and other officials of Home Ministry.
Rajnath instructed the officials to ensure proper security arrangements at Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and Krishna Janmasthal Temple in Mathura.
