"To raise issues effectively, we need a strong organisation (in Punjab)," senior AAP leader and party's state observer Sanjay Singh said while addressing media here today. Stating that party's format has been changed from district level to zonal level, Singh cited 13 zones have been set up in the state. "Nine Vidhan Sabha constituencies and one Lok Sabha constituency will be part of one zone each," Singh added.

He asserted that there would be 13 zonal in-charges for the party. The party has also formed several wings for youth, women, farmer, trade and transport, legal, intellectual, NRI, former servicemen and student, AAP leader said. The AAP has also appointed 13 zonal level and 39 sector level coordinators from Delhi for monitoring the functioning of organisation in the state.

"The team from Delhi will also use its experience to further strengthen the party in the state," he said. However, Singh said that AAP Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur will continue to play his present role in the party. "There will be no change in the state executive. Our first job will be to appoint booth in-charge in next 2-3 months," he said.
