The posts work in the same way as embeds from Twitter and YouTube. Once an account is enabled, the user will have the option to ‘Embed posts.’ That will produce a code that the user can cut and paste into a blog entry or HTML file. For a post to be embeddable, it must be set to public.

Users can also like and share the embedded posts and click on hash tags to see other posts on Facebook that are related to the conversation. The Twitter-style feature has been added by Facebook to expand its presence on the Internet and its appeal to members who are increasingly accessing the Internet on their smartphones or tablets.
